The French fire interface usually refers to the Guillemin interface,which is a symmetrical quick connector that complies with French stan-dards such as NF E29-572.The biggest feature of this interface is that there is no distinction be-tween male and female, and two identical half connectors can be used to connect. When connecting,it is usually locked by rotating about a quar-ter turn,and some models are also equipped with locking rings,which can be further tightened using a special wrench. It is designed for situa-tions with a maximum working pressure of 16 bar and is widely used in fire and rescue services in France, Belgium, and some French speaking African countries.
