The USA Pin is a threaded interface that complies with the National Fire Protection Association standard (NFPA 1963), characterized by cylin-drical pins (Pin Lug) on both sides of the joint. This pin design is easy to tighten or remove using a specialized wrench, but due to the protruding pin being prone to hooking onto obstacles,it is now less commonly used in new water hoses.
